We are excited to announce the upcoming 2nd Annual Stock Horse Show at Pohaku Nui Ranch, scheduled to take place on September 21, 2024. This event promises to be an exhilarating showcase of horsemanship and community spirit.
The Hawaii Stock Horse Show, the first of its kind on Oahu, provides a platform to celebrate our rich Paniolo heritage and the skill of working ranch cowboys through friendly competition. We anticipate drawing participants from across the islands, culminating in the crowning of the statewide “Hawaii Stockhorse All-Around Champion Team.”
The Stock Horse Show features four distinct events – herd work, reining, boxing, and team penning. Teams of three will leverage each member’s strengths, with one tackling herd work, another showcasing reining expertise, and the third demonstrating boxing proficiency. The event concludes with the collaborative team penning challenge. The team with the highest cumulative points will earn the prestigious title of “2024 Hawaii Stockhorse All-Around Champion.”
Individual competitors are welcome to participate, although the coveted “All-Around Champion” accolade will be bestowed upon the team achieving the highest combined score.
