WHO: The Oahu District of the Hawaii High School Rodeo Association. High School cowboys and cowgirls will compete in a team format against Jr. Wranglers. Pick your favorite team and come cheer them on.
WHY: This is a special benefit rodeo and barbecue to help Oahu’s HHSRA members travel to the State Finals.
COST: $20 includes admission to the rodeo and the barbecue. $12 for children 12 and under.

WHAT: Chip Campbell Memorial Team Sorting. This event honors the memory of Chip Campbell who passed away from melanoma in Feb. 2003. This will be the 9th annual celebration of Chip’s life, where riders and spectators can compete in the Cow Chip Toss, learn about and practice sun safety, enter the free drawing, and riders perpetuate the sport of 3-rider team sorting, competing for trophy buckles and donating a portion of their entry fees to the American Cancer Society. Open, Pro-Novice and Novice-Novice divisions plus specialty buckles for first-time sorter, century team and more.

The Cowboy Calendar
Aloha, and welcome to The Cowboy Calendar, a site designed to help coordinate Western riding events in Hawaii. All of us have at one time or another experienced the frustration of wanting to be in two places at the same time and having to make tough choices. Do I go to the barrel race or to the roping; the jackpot rodeo or the team sorting?
Hopefully, we can eliminate—or at least reduce—the need to make those kinds of choices. By checking The Cowboy Calendar, event planners can see what’s planned for any given weekend and can choose a date that’s not already taken.
The Cowboy Calendar works in a couple different ways. Use the home page “calendar” view and click on any date to see what is already scheduled for that date. There are hot links that will provide greater detail on each event.
Or, click on the “All Events” tab to see a listing of all events for the year.
Ready to “test drive” the calendar? It’s completely free of charge. Just click here, provide the information about your event (hint: give lots of details), and we’ll post it for you. You can even post a photo—and we all know that listings with photos get higher viewership, so send ‘em in!!
